When English Steps Out of the Textbook

At Fusing, learning English is about more than the words and grammar in a textbook. It is a real exchange — full of laughter, courage and growing confidence.

At our English Word Corner, eighth graders picked up their English vocabulary booklets and walked straight over to Teacher Z, our foreign English teacher — asking questions, chatting and practicing face to face, all in English.

Some were shy at first. But little by little the smiles came out, and so did the words. Our students proved something important: the key to learning English is not being afraid of making mistakes — it is being brave enough to speak up.

What we saw was more than English skills. We saw our students growing:

🌱 Courage — stepping out of their comfort zone to talk with a foreign teacher.
🌱 Confidence — building the ability to express themselves, one simple English sentence at a time.
🌱 Respect — learning to appreciate different cultures and points of view.
🌱 Teamwork — cheering each other on and helping each other out.
🌱 Global skills — using language as a bridge to talk with the world.

Special thanks to Teacher Z for joining in so warmly and listening patiently to every single student, and to our teachers for planning and guiding the activity — bringing English out of the classroom and into every corner of the campus.

That is what education is for: helping every child discover, "I can do it, too!" Fusing will keep growing its bilingual and international education, so that English becomes part of daily life and every student has the courage to talk with the world.
