Rooted in tradition, growing toward the world — where the Land God's blessing meets bilingual education 傳統為根，世界為家——福德爺庇蔭的雙語小學
The name Fude — meaning "virtue and blessing" — comes from the Land God (福德正神) worshipped at Wufu Temple, whose side rooms sheltered the school's very first classrooms in 1965. When the government lacked funds to build the school, it was the local Fude Ye Community that stepped forward to make it happen.
From those borrowed temple rooms, the school moved to its current site in 1968 and became fully independent in 1973. Today, Fude Elementary carries that same spirit of community — passing on traditions, growing connections, and opening doors to the world.
「福德」二字，來自五福宮主神福德正神——土地公守護的地方。1965年，政府經費不足，是在地福德爺會出手相助，讓學校在廟宇廂房裡借用教室起步。
1968年校舍完工、遷入現址，1973年正式獨立設校，成為彰化縣永靖鄉福德國民小學。半世紀過去，這所學校依然承繼當年的社區精神——傳承傳統、扎根在地、連結世界。
A small school with deep roots. At Fude, children grow through traditional arts, connection with the land, and a love of reading.
Fude's 跳鼓陣 drum-dance troupe has kept the tradition alive for over 24 years. Senior students become teachers, passing the art to juniors one-on-one in a living apprentice tradition. At the 2024 national folk-arts competition, the troupe took home the gold — carrying the spirit of Yongjing's temple culture to stages far beyond the village.
福德國小跳鼓陣走過二十四個年頭，高年級學生親自帶著學弟妹，一對一傳授技藝，形成師徒制的活態傳承。113學年度全國民俗技藝競賽，孩子用鼓聲拿下金牌，把永靖廟會文化帶上全國舞台。
Here, a soybean tells a whole story. Students follow it through three chapters — planting in Beidou's fields, pressing tofu at the local workshop, and tasting the finished dish. The "Soybean Giants" project won gold at the International Schools CyberFair, continuing a proud tradition that once crowned the local chrysanthemum with the same honor.
在福德，一顆黃豆說完一整個故事。孩子走出校門，到北斗田間播種、到在地工坊做豆花，再端上桌品嚐。「黃豆小巨人」榮獲網界博覽會金牌，延續了前一年菊花研究的榮耀。
The school's community reading station is something special — a cool, welcoming space where children and families explore English picture books alongside local nature and sustainability stories. Here, language learning flows out of the classroom and into the neighbourhood, connecting bilingual education to real Yongjing life.
福德的社區共讀站是全鄉的寶地——有冷氣、有手作、有繪本故事。孩子與家長在這裡讀英文繪本、探索在地永續故事，讓語言學習從課本流進真實的生活。
Principal Cho Hung-pin leads Fude Elementary with a vision that honours the school's deep community roots while building a bilingual, future-ready campus. Under his leadership, the school has earned the KDP International Award for School Innovation and maintains its proud tradition of folk arts and food education.
卓鴻賓校長以「扎根在地、放眼未來」為核心理念，帶領福德國小在傳承傳統的同時，也積極推動雙語教育。在他的帶領下，學校榮獲 KDP 國際認證獎，跳鼓陣與食農教育持續發光發熱。
