On March 31st, the rural but vibrant community of Desing Elementary in Yongjing welcomed a very special guest: Ms. Dom Jones, a distinguished member of the United Nations Association Orange County Chapter.
Teacher Dom led an inspiring workshop on Sustainable Development Goal number two, Zero Hunger, talking with students in third to sixth grade about sharing food and reducing waste.
She then met the first and second graders for a fun sorting game, teaching them how to classify different kinds of food.
The best part of the day: Desing's own cacao tree garden.
Student guides proudly led Teacher Dom through the campus garden, sharing how the school and the local community grow cacao together — and how it can become a sustainable resource for the whole village.

Dom 老師帶來一場精彩的工作坊，主題是永續發展目標第二項「零飢餓」，和三到六年級的同學們討論分享食物、減少浪費的重要性。
接著，她和一、二年級的小朋友玩了有趣的分類遊戲，教大家認識不同種類的食物。
當天最精彩的行程，是參觀德興自己的可可樹花園！小小導覽員驕傲地帶著 Dom 老師認識校園裡的可可樹，分享學校與社區如何一起種植可可——並讓它成為造福全村的永續資源。
