From Field to Feast食在幸福.農育未來——食農教育期末成果發表

Today marks the final showcase of our Agricultural Food Education Program. We sincerely thank Erlin Community University for providing engaging and meaningful learning experiences that guided students through the entire process of planting, caring for, and harvesting crops.

During the showcase, students transformed the mustard greens they had grown into preserved vegetables known as "Fu Cai." They then used these vegetables to prepare a delicious Fu Cai chicken soup, experiencing both traditional food culture and the joy of cooking. Coincidentally, it was also the principal's birthday. To celebrate, students creatively stacked egg crepes, eggs, ham, and corn into a cake-shaped dish, expressing their heartfelt birthday wishes.

Learning that runs from the land to the table.

Through this program, students learned the concept of "from farm to table," gaining a deeper understanding of where food comes from and how it reaches our dining tables. They also developed cooking skills, learned kitchen safety practices, and strengthened their teamwork and cooperation abilities.

Agricultural food education is more than learning how to cook. It helps students appreciate food, respect nature, and develop gratitude, responsibility, and healthy living habits. By learning through hands-on experiences, students cultivate lifelong values that connect the land, food, and people together.

今天是本校食農教育課程的期末成果發表日,感謝 二林社區大學 提供豐富且專業的課程內容,帶領學生從種植、照顧到收成,親身體驗食物生產的歷程。

本次成果發表中,學生將親手栽種的芥菜經過日曬與加工製成福菜,並運用福菜與雞肉烹煮出香氣四溢的福菜雞湯,體驗傳統飲食文化的智慧與美味。同時,適逢校長生日,學生更發揮創意,利用蛋餅皮、雞蛋、火腿及玉米等食材層層堆疊,製作成蛋糕造型料理,獻上最真摯的生日祝福,讓課程充滿溫馨與歡樂。

從土地到餐桌,學習不間斷。

透過食農教育課程,學生不僅學習「從產地到餐桌」的完整歷程,了解食材的來源與價值,也在實作過程中培養料理技巧、食品安全觀念及刀具使用的安全知識。更重要的是,學生學會分工合作、互相協助與珍惜食物,體會每一道料理背後所蘊含的努力與感恩。

食農教育不只是學習烹飪,更是培養生活素養與責任態度的重要課程,讓孩子在做中學、學中做,從土地出發,認識食物、尊重生命,進而建立健康、永續與感恩的生活價值。
