The emblem of Changan Elementary School features the image of bats that once roosted in the betel palms during the Japanese era. The orange arc represents wings, soaring high; the black signifies sharp eyes and strategic foresight. Our educational mission is to foster a love for life and the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.
The school's roots reach back to 1928 as a branch classroom of Zhutang Elementary, becoming independent in 1941 as Jiukuaicuo Elementary School. It was renamed Changan Elementary School in 1947, and took its present name in 1968.
長安國小校徽以從日據時代常駐在蒲葵樹上的蝙蝠為意象，橘色圓弧為翅膀，展翅高飛，黑色代表睿眼，深謀遠慮，以熱愛生命，追求真善美為教育宗旨。
學校的根源可追溯至 1928 年竹塘公學校九塊厝分教場，1941 年獨立設校為九塊厝國民學校，1947 年改名長安國民學校，1968 年再定名為彰化縣竹塘鄉長安國民小學。
Rooted in the rice fields of Zhutang, Changan children grow through agriculture, curiosity, and heartfelt resilience.
Changan's food-and-farming curriculum runs deep — from rice treats to rice paired with local fruit like mango, dragon fruit, passion fruit, and avocado, all the way through to sustainable production and sales. Agriculture here is refined into everyday learning.
食農深耕永續經營：從米果樂，稻米結合芒果、火龍果、百香果、酪梨等水果，一路學到產銷，讓農業精緻化為日常學習。
With four strengths in full gear — learning, originality, observation, and exploration — Changan children move forward with a smile. They explore Zhutang's local "three whites" (rice, eggs, mushrooms), compare ecology and culture across borders, and practice global citizenship through bilingual, tech-rich learning.
四力全開，smile 前行——學習力、新奇力、洞察力、探索力。孩子在竹塘探索在地三白（白米、雞蛋、洋菇），比較異國生態文化，透過雙語與科技，落實公民社會責任。
Changan draws its spirit from the rice farmers of this "land of blessed grain" — practical, diligent, and unbending. Children here learn to strive for their own growth with the same quiet perseverance that has long defined this farming community.

Principal Hsieh Bo-Yu has led Changan Elementary since August 2025. Guided by "Focusing entirely on the children, bringing every child to success," his six directives build a warm, innovative campus through the school's Five Blessings — food education, aesthetics, technology, international outlook, and reading.
