When Principal Chen Yen-lung stepped through Tiantou's gate in August 2021, he became the seventeenth person to lead the school since it became independent in 1954. He arrived not at a city school, but at a small community school in the farming village of Tiantou — in Zhutang Township, on the south-western plain of Changhua County.
The name Tiantou means "the head of the fields" — the very edge where Changhua's rice country begins. What the school lacks in size, it makes up for in connection: Tiantou shares an English teacher with neighbouring schools, films its own bilingual Word of the Day videos, and teaches children to move, make, and connect — small in number, wide in heart.
2021 年 8 月，陳彥龍校長踏入田頭國小校門，成為這所 1954 年獨立設校以來的第十七任校長。他接下的，不是城市裡的大型學校，而是竹塘鄉田頭村田野間的一所農村小學。
「田頭」二字，意思是「田的起點」——彰化稻田開始的地方。田頭的規模雖小，卻以「連結」見長：與鄰校共聘英語老師、自己拍攝雙語「每日一字」影片，教孩子動手、創作、連結世界——人數雖少，心卻很寬。
