Making the hour count

Eighty people cannot have one conversation. Small groups can — and if each group writes one thing down, a year of these meetings becomes a handbook for whoever comes next.

八十個人沒辦法一起討論，小組可以。而只要每組留下一張紀錄，一年下來就會累積成給下一屆外師的實戰手冊。

• 0–5 minForm groups of five or six and pick one topic.五六人一組，從下面挑一題。
• 5–35Talk it through: What happened? What did you try? What would you do differently?討論三個問題：發生了什麼？你試過什麼？下次會怎麼做？
• 35–50Write one card — the situation, what was tried, what you would recommend.每組寫一張卡：情境、試過的作法、你們的建議。
• 50–60Three groups read theirs out.抽三組唸出來。

Why the card matters. Without it the hour is enjoyable and gone. With it, fifteen groups across nine meetings leave roughly a hundred and thirty pieces of first-hand advice — which is the point. 沒有那張卡，這一小時聊得再好也是散掉；有了它，十五組乘以九次，就是約一百三十則第一手經驗。
